Hloubetin is a town part of Prague. It has its interesting history and relics. The objective was to renovate the area between new main square and historic square, which should have extended a centre, meaning an attractive public place with public services, and also to redesign the new one with shopping, cafés, tourists, etc.
The key problem was a curb parking everywhere related to a lack of basement garages. Luckily we could move some parking below the area of new square. The study suggests to create a nice courts adjacent to the main square, and verging into modulated streets with alleys along residential buildings and further to the west to a place in front of a swimming-pool.
Ever-present asphalt as a surface is replaced with a few types and colors of paving, slowdown sills for cars, new verdure, lighting and trees. On the court is a new public fountain, benches, and this area is accessible only for supplying cars in early morning hours. A car-parking is put in order.
We formulate the main ideas for the town council and cooperate with Prague part on realization.
