THE MULTIFUNCTIONAL COMPLEX IN DOWNTOWN PRAGUE

This is a study of in-fill building on a busy pedestrian mall in downtown Prague. I wanted to create a footpath connection between a main street Evropska with public transportation (Underground Line A) and a very calm park behind Diplomat Hotel and where people relax on park benches. I realized it by creating a two-storied way through the complex surrounded by stores, boutiques, cafeterias and other snacks. There is a semi-closed atrium with glass elevators, trees and a pool in the middle, which makes the complex in an attractive location more interesting.

The new building incorporates neighboring listed building of Underground Station and takes over the name, because it is directly connected via extended passage from station. The whole complex includes stores, offices, restaurants with a view to the garden, services, underground parking. I respected the building height round about and put part of flat roofs to use as terraces, one green. The front to the main street should evoke a modern gateway, which in fact is.

This was my university project. This plot has not been used up to now.
