Lom - Litvinov
THE STUDY OF OVERBUILDING DEVELOPMENT LOCALITIES
The area is located on foothills of Krusne Mountains, Czech-German border mountains near Litvinov. This study of overbuilding development localities between two local towns is outstanding as regards size in Czech borderland conditions. Because of considering weather to extend coal mining nearby, the study of completely new satellite not only for denizens willing to relocate originated.
The job was to create a residential development with ing.arch.I.Kaplan, respecting traditional pattern of the neighborhood and also the original village. The main area is divided by roads, electricity and underground gas lines with their protective zones to many parts, but it affords an opportunity to interleave residential parts with green belts including sports on the other hand. Every part was designed with a public place with minor facilities, but the most of them are in the classic-shaped centre.
We co-worked on the whole designing process of the new satellite, then put it to the new Land-use plan of the town and have negotiated it successfully with authorities.
